Grade Level/Discipline: 5th grade social studies and language arts
Few Facts about myself:
Fact 1: Super in love with these things: my family (husband and baby), teaching, and Jesus
Fact 2: Tend to be a glass-half-full kind of person....not a Pollyanna, just don't think worrying and/or complaining gets you very far in life.
Fact 3: My sweet little girl was born by a surrogate, who happens to be a dear friend. It was an amazing experience to go through!
Fact 4: Get an unnatural thrill over bargain shopping....flea markets, yard sales, clearance racks. These are my friends :)
What I'd like to learn or get out of this course:
To understand better the students that I teach and those I will teach in the future. I'd like to know how they learn best and learn how to adapt my current teaching practices to meet these needs. I'd also like to learn about current technology trends in education and get comfortable enough with them to incorporate them into my classroom.
My favorite game(s):
I love face to face games and anything that is loud and involves a lot of people. Card games, board games and charades are great!
